Following on from the success of our homemade burgers on the BBQ, people suggested that we ought to make our own ice-cream. Well, we took them up on their idea and we now make our own "Maize Moo" Real Dairy Ice-Cream here on the farm. Farmer Jim explains to our visitors on the tractor rides how the cows are milked in the morning, the milk is pasteurized overnight, then the ice-cream is made the following morning, ready to serve to visitors later that day - "Cow to Cone in 24 hours"
The Maize grown on the farm is used to feed the cows - hence the name. Then some of the ice-cream is flavoured with fresh fruit from friend's farms and from our own farm garden.
The artisan, handmade Ice-cream is available daily from a traditional hand barrow during the Maize Maze season. If you have an event scheduled outside our season we would be happy to bring our pretty barrow to your event, whether it is a school/village fund raiser, large birthday party or Wedding party. Please contact us to discuss your requirments.
The Ice-cream is also now available to buy directly from the farm or from local outlets. Look out for the bright yellow pots!
