The Maize Maze at Cawthorne - a great family day out!!
Welcome to our website. As you can see from the photo below the 2008 season is now over.
2008 Competition Winners
The Maize crop was finally harvested on the 29th October signalling the end of the 2008 season. We have picked three names out of the box of completed quiz sheets.
Joshua Bridges - Penistone
Oliver Blackburn - Almondbury
Holly and Jacob Airey - Cleckheaton
They will be receiving invitations through the post to come to the farm with their families. We look forward to seeing them.
Thank you to everyone who came during the season - We hope looking at the photographs on the website will remind you of a happy day you had with us. If you have any nice photos, that you are happy to share, please send us an email with them and we will add them to our gallery.
Planning for the 2009 season will start after Christmas. We are looking forward to seeing you next July.
Have a browse in the photo section at all our past designs.
Our farm is set in beautiful countryside next to Cannon Hall Country Park. We have 140 cows which are fed on the maize when it is harvested. Their delicious milk is used to make our new Maizie Moo Real Dairy Ice-Cream. The 2008 design was a Giant Ice-Cream Cone to celebrate the launch of our ice-cream.
Have fun with the quiz whilst solving the unique, intricate puzzle. Our team of Maze Masters are always on hand to help.
Enjoy our village fete atmosphere. Attempt the Grass Maze and Hopper Maze. Relax and let the children play on straw bales! There are traditional family games, such as Themed Noughts and Crosses, Hoopla and Bean Bag Throwing games. Try your hand at puzzle solving or Giant Jenga and Four in a Row. In 2008 we introduced pedal Go-Karts - they were a great hit, especially with the older children.
Have a Vintage Tractor and Trailer ride with Farmer Jim up to our farm to see the calves and find out more about the cows.

We have a "Real BBQ" most days offering our Home-made burgers along with hot and cold drinks.
Round your day off with a Maizie Moo Ice-Cream - even take a pot or two home. |
